Dina Yurchanka is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor whose areas of specialty include clinical anxiety and mood disorders, parenting issues, low self-esteem and body image, personal growth. She graduated from Argosy University with Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and has been working in private practice in Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights for the last 12 years.
Dina Yurchanka’s style has been described as active, engaging, compassionate, informative, realistic and goal oriented. She offers genuine support and a safe space for growth for her clients. She will listen to you and guide you with confidence through the difficult time of your life. Her goal is to understand the needs of every patient, educate you on your clinical symptoms and tailor therapy to the needs of each individual in the most supportive and effective way.
Dina works with men and women of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds. She also provides professional and safe treatment to those who face societal challenges due to alternative lifestyle choices. She administers individual, family and couples therapy.
The preferred treatment modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy where she helps individuals navigate their thoughts , emotions and patterns of behavior . Dina Yurchanka aims at finding an individualized approach to the unique needs of every patient incorporating all the modern and traditional strategies in therapy including solution focused, supportive, strength based, family-centered, mindfulness training, meditation etc.
Dina Yurchanka is a National Board certified counselor and a member of Illinois Counseling Association. She frequently holds talks in the community on treatment of anxiety and depression, parenting issues, personal growth etc.
