How can I be prepared for the first visit?

It is not necessary to come prepared. Dina Yurchanka walks you through the initial assessment herself. But if you would like to help the provider, please bring a list of symptoms, medications and any questions you may have for the provider. 

Are the services covered by insurance?

Dina Yurchanka is in the network for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. She also accepts private  payments for Home Visits or field visits.

Can I start therapy virtually and then switch to an office location?

Yes, that’s a common experience.

What if I need medicine?

Dina Yurchanka is a licensed clinical therapist and does not prescribe medicine. However, she does provide referrals to psychiatrists, rehab facilities, psychological testing, biofeedback training and other services in the community. After the initial assessment, the provider will explain which additional modalities the patient might benefit from during the course of treatment.

Are treatments confidential?

Patients receive full privacy and confidentiality per ethical guidelines.

How long is each session?

Initial visit ranges from 50 to 60 minutes. The follow up visits are 45 minutes.

How long is the treatment?

The treatment duration is variable depending on an individual situation. At the end of the initial assessment Dina Yurchanka will be able to give an estimated completion of treatment for the presenting problems. Some issues could be resolved within a few sessions. Some more severe clinical conditions might require a longer treatment.

How often do I need to be seen?

Most of the patients are seen on a weekly basis. Sometimes there is a necessity for higher frequency due to the severity of the symptoms at the beginning of treatment. As the patient progresses the frequency of treatment can switch to biweekly,  monthly, or as needed.

Are you LGBTQ friendly?
